Is it safe to say that the group node will not be too often used if at all?

Some people use groups a lot - they can be very important with particle systems. The Call Node group actually call a node tree not a group of objects, so it is similar to event.

I have not yet but it would make sense to use like a “helper program” if you needed to do the same thing over and over in many different settings then you could call that set of nodes from many other sets of node (in theory). Perhaps like a subroutine in code or calling another script from several different scripts. Therefore not having to rebuild the same nodes over and over. I do think that the node would be much more usable if you could add properties (variables) in and out of the node group.
