I’m really active on Blendswap and Blenderartists and I have seen the post about Armory on Blenderartists but I didn’t know it was released until I saw this post. Lubos, you should really either make a new thread or update on the original post because that could bring in a lot more people.
imho allowing the community to grow at an organic pace for a start is not bad. It allows to stomp the most obvious bugs and problems without being flooded with duplicate reports and maintenance requests.
You only get a few announcements before people get tired of hearing about you, it’s good to make those count.
TL,DR: I’m with waiting a bit before doing any sort of publicity.
