How to set base model color as transparent instead of black?

I want to export textures with a clear alpha channel. That is:

  1. Create a new cube.
  2. Create a new paint layer (has transparency by default)
  3. Paint a single dot on it.
  4. Delete old default layer (the gray “Layer 1” paint layer).
  5. Export with a specific preset that sets the base model color as transparent instead of black.

Basically, I want to hide the model and only leave the painting layer. There’s probably an obvious way to do this but… Yeah. I can’t figure it out.

So, I suppose that explains why the “opac” option wasn’t doing what I expected it too :smiley:
