Looking better and better! What did you change last?

I Inverted the roughness/specular maps so it doesn’t look so shiny/dark, and mostly turned on and tuned settings for VXGI.

Is there a clipping issue? The floor looks a bit too bright.

Flowers still look ugly

Maybe a bit, but the the sun-strength is also set to 13, which is pretty high.

I don’t know what can be done about those, they look alright in Cycles. It seems like Armory is letting them be a bit transparent even in places where the mask is 100% white.

Updated it so it should now work in V0.3 without errors thanks to @lubos amazing fixes!

Found something. There is an pull request > https://github.com/Simonrazer/Sponza/pull/2

I also added khafile.js to gitignore, as it is auto generated and has locals paths in it.

Only able to get 40fps for my GTX970…

Thank you to @Simonrazer and @trsh for making this happen…

Getting about 63fps on gtx 1060 6gb. I don’t think we can get any more fps out of this without any engine improvements (maybe by turning on “Batch meshes” but that’s currently broken), and many fps isn’t my goal in Armory right now but to make it look as good as some top engines. Here the original sponza scene in Cryengine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnvmB9iztaM&t . I actually would like to crank the Voxel resolution further to match the precision of that video.

I created some other sponza Project. And it gives me much better FPS. Investigating what’s the difference. P.S. where is the batch thing turned on. Can’t find.

Batch meshes is here:
help
Strangely I also get only 67fps on the Defered preset with Shadow cascades set to 1 (more than that reduces fps significantly). How much are you getting? Any major diferences?

Btw Batch meshes works. Batch Material doesn’t with latest UPDate. I’m getting aprox 45 fps on forward rendered, lol. But I create another sponza scene, and it’s good fps there. Investigating difference. Will report soon.

Here we go > https://github.com/trsh/Armory3DSponza. This performs like 2x faster then https://github.com/Simonrazer/Sponza.

Differences:

  1. Mesh count from 312 to 24
  2. Meshes ar a bit optimized and triangulated
  3. Textures are dds

So what do you think play the key role in Performance difference?

I cant get it to start when hiting F5, it gives me a huge console error. But from looking at it it maybe the case that your results are better because you left VXGI off. Can you tell me the difference with it turned on (and Bounces set to 2)?
